We had a very fun Saturday yesterday. After wrapping up the Tropicana Twisters season, we got into the Holiday mood by heading to none other than our local Home Depot for a tree. We were in and out of there in about 10 minutes flat. But before we could decorate it we were invited to a party at the Director's Guild of America in Hollywood. My friend's husband works there so we enjoyed their children's party. I have no idea if we were in the company of the next great movie director, but we sure enjoyed the loads of food, jump houses, cartoons screened in a huge theater, gifts for all the kids, and of course, Santa. We opted out of the ridiculously long Santa line, but we did see Scooby and Tweety!

Christmas in the Southland
The real excitement, however, was the Holiday Train. The Metrolink decks out a train with lights and singing reindeer, etc., then makes stops at various stations and puts on a show. It was really cool, especially the fake snow and streamers they capped it off with. The kids were totally stoked. Here comes the train!

too bad we have to wait until 2010 for the train to come anywhere near the westside...
I love that disneyland sweatshirt with the Big 3 (Snow white, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty).
