Possible slipcover for the old couch. I know---very beige.

Double oven getting closer to where it will go! This is an improvement over the garage!

Under cabinet lights---woohoo! The wiring on all this has been intense.

Most of the finished broom closet----just enough space. The door is waiting until after the floors are refinished. Note the new step ladder.

Lighting Pictures

Okay----I always get these pictures out of order. Here is one from tonight (Thurs)

Very daunting to take a saw to the new cabinets and put in electrical, but Dad did a good job!

I guess we have made progress this week.

All the recessed lighting cans were installed and then we finished up the trim kits and bulbs this week.

Dad has been wiring things since Monday

Now to tear out the back wall of the storage closet in the one bedroom in order to complete the wiring to the fuse box. So much fun!

What I didn't get a picture of was my great smaller helpers bringing can after can to put in our new pantry cabinet. They were great! Now, today, the rest of the great room lights.

Kitchen cabinets in!

Here are the cabinets! The crown molding was added this morning and they are done. We need to make a change to two cabinet doors, but other than that----finished!

Does this look crooked?

Does this look like it might be leaning to the left? We weren't sure...

The story is that Dad and Carl ain't so good at that there math and the whole if you build an 7 ft 8 inch cabinet, How in the darn tootin' is you gonna get it into position with an 8 ft ceilin'?

Long story short: Use the Sawzall of Justice and cut some off the back. No one is going to see it anyway. And the reason it is leaning - had to take one leg off to get it into position. They put it back on later. Hey look - there is the future home of the fridge!
And that is where the sink will go!
