So Long Teardrop
On Saturday we took the teardrop up to the new owners in Paradise, Ca. It was a sad day, but also a whole new beginning for the teardrop. Jock and Paula, the new owners, plan on pulling the teardrop behind their classic 1954 Chevrolet and also their 1941 Ford. We really couldn't have picked a better place for our cherished family heirloom to go. I must admit I was a little sad when we unloaded the teardrop, pushed it into Jock's garage and pulled out of their driveway. It was the end of an era.
Jock hopes to have the teardrop finished in a month or two, and he promised me he will send pictures. I guess we will all have to stay tuned to see what the future holds for our little ol' teardrop!

Good times for sure. Thanks for finding a good home for the old Teardrop.
It looks like a breakdown but it is actually at a breakfast stop in Nevada just past "Valley of Fire" turnoff just after we spent a miserable night "sleeping" along the side of I-15 in 1986. The hood is up to help cool the engine down in the 100 plus heat. We were on our way to Joe's Valley. See the Cactus on the side of the picture? One of the kids fell on cactus. after breakfast. Dad
That kid was ME! I almost forgot about that, because it was overshadowed by the memory of getting yogurt and donuts for breakfast, which to us, was like food of the gods and practically life-altering. Lots of good memories of the teardrop. Remember playing Scattergories late into the night at a ward campout with a bunch of girls all packed in there that one year? I tried to pass off "Lambs, Silence of" as an L-movie answer. Haha. Anyway, sorry we couldn't take it...but you did a good job finding it a new home/final resting place.
By the way, how could you confuse a truck that was quite obviously "resting" with one that was "broken down???" C'mon, Ali!
Valley of Fire?!?!?! That's where we stop each and every year on our way to the Lake for lots of illegal fireworks sold on on Indian Land. They sell only: "Fireworks, alchohol, cigs, and casino. Cell Phones Prohibited!".
And BTW- I remember that night. It ranks up there as one of the hottest, a close tie with Needles.
