The truck

Here it is----the truck. Yes, Dad and Kev went to Oregon to get it. Yes, it has a "Flying A Ranch "decal on the back. Yes, it has dents and scratches---proof it hasn't been repainted to hide a crash. Yes, Dad got 24 mpg on the way home. Time to say goodbye to the van---it was a great ride---and the old truck-----mom's not cryin'.

ooooh! i like.

Goodbye, poor old truck. even though I never drove it and only rode in it a handful of times, I'll miss it.

The van - or the Velour Cushion on Wheels - I will probably not miss, except that it allowed me to talk in a robot voice. "Starcraft: now departing."

Well I know someone who is crying. That would be Carissa, who shed huge crocodile tears amidst- and I'm serious- deep sobs and the question, "Why?? Why does Grandpa have to sell the van? I just love it so much. Why?" Ten minutes into it, and after futile attempts to distract her with corndogs, the tears subsided. But she's not convinced about this new truck.
Sorry Grandpa.

Derek and I, however, dig it.
