A Very Special Day

Saturday was Carissa's baptism, and not only was it a beautiful, sunny and pleasantly warm day, it was sweet and memorable for Carissa. She was especially excited to have Gramma and Grampa, Gramma Pam, and Uncle Kevy there. We didn't take a lot of pictures due to being extremely rushed, but we'll post what we do have.

Like all good days, this one started with hot chocolate on the patio in the morning with Grandpa.

And some pillow throwing and wrestling with Uncle Kevy.

After a little lunch at home with a few friends, we headed out to O'Melveny Park for a hike. Finally green after being devastated by fire in October, the beauty of the day was a perfect way to cap off such a spiritual experience in the morning. If only you could have heard the sound effects from this guy!!! Despite the smog, we still enjoyed the view.Although we missed the whole family being with us, Carissa felt greatly loved by so many friends who were there and appreciated all the love from your phone calls, cards and gifts. Thank you for all the love you have shown her, and us.

We're so sorry we couldn't be there :( I would have loved to hear the duet.

What a beautiful day you had down there. Carissa looks like such a beautiful young lady! Glad everything went well.

I wish we could have been there too! I'm glad Carissa got to enjoy her special day with family friends. She's getting prettier and prettier.

I so wanted to be there! Carissa looks so grown up and so pretty! That first picture of her and Katie looks like one of those fake ones they insert into frames. Did you get a new patio table? Nice!
